En el Site de SQUID esta un FAQ, ahi esta la solucion a tus problemas.

Que tal,

           Instalé squid para que linux funcione como servidor proxy, ya
hice todos los pasos descritos en el manual (ip_masq, ipv4, etc.) y ya
configuré las máquinas clientes (usan win98). Al abrir el Internet Explorer
en Windows me marca el siguiente error:

Las computadoras están conectadas a la computadora con Linux con red, y
funciona perfectamente samba, telnet, ftp, etc.

Cómo puedo cambiar permiso en Squid para que le permita a 192.168.1.2
(màquina con windows 98) conectarse a internet. Gracias.
